This was a fun project! What they had was a small pantry room with about 5 shelves spaced about 16" apart. They also had 10' ceilings and a beautiful bar which faces this pantry area. We suggested that it would be a great place for a television above the door, since there was so much room. They liked that!
We gave them the maximum opening measurements, and they bought the largest set that would fit in (that's a very heavy 35" Sony up there!) We built the opening just for that set - cutting out the wall section, building a floor for the TV that also has lighting underneath to illuminate the main pantry area. Notice the wonderful overflow wine storage we built behind the set and above the main pantry storage! She loves her nice deep drawers, too!
