 Legacy Ceiling Tiles
Made from UV stabilized .030" (.70 mm) vinyl thermoplastic, these tiles may be directly mounted on your ceiling or installed in any standard ceiling grid to create a ceiling with a "wow" factor. These tiles are easy to install, easy to clean, stain and water resistant, resource friendly and delivered direct to your door! Please note that there is no minimum order on our in stock ceiling skins, so you may order single tiles if you want to see what they look like before placing a larger order.
Installing your Ceiling Skins
Direct Mount Installation
When installing directly up on a drywall ceiling we recommend using contact cement to secure the tiles to the ceiling and then use the matching grid strips to cover the seams between your tiles.
Grid Mount Installation
Simply set your tiles into any standard 15/16" or 1" ceiling grid. If you have existing mineral fiber tiles, you can slide your ceiling skins right beneath the existing tiles. For the perimeter of your room, we recommend using a flat border tile like the Legacy Border Tile. To blend your ceiling grid in with your new tiles, use may apply the matching grid strips to your ceiling grid.
Fire Rating
These ceiling tiles have been independently tested by Intertek Testing Services. They have a Class A fire rating with a flame spread index of 15 and a smoke developed index of 120. The scale is based on a noncombustible cement-asbestos board with a value of 0 and untreated lumber being 100. So these will burn significantly slower than wood but emit about 20% more smoke than wood on the parts that are burning.
